Dr. Andrea Teti, Scientific Director of the Arab Transformations project, presents major findings to the Dutch Foreign Ministry this Thursday, the 15th of September in The Hague.
His speech, entitled ‘Missed Opportunities? Democracy in EU Policy and Perceptions in the Middle East’ set out the difficulties surrounding current EU policy towards the Middle East and North Africa, and how results from the project fieldwork have shown that these can be modified to accomplish the goals of both the EU and nations of the MENA region.
These results are the culmination of a project coordinated by the University of Aberdeen and funded by the European Commission’s FP7 programme, please visit the project website for more details www.arabtrans.eu.
